Voice OTP

A one-time code read out in an automated phone call instead of delivered by SMS.

With voice OTP, the service calls the number and a synthesized voice reads the code aloud. Platforms fall back to it when SMS delivery fails, and offer it for accessibility and for landlines that cannot receive texts.

For rented numbers, voice activations exist as an alternative when a service's SMS route to a given country is unreliable.
