Roblox SMS VERIFICATION Receive the Roblox code on a rented number.

A real number, allocated to you for one Roblox verification. Your personal phone stays out of it.

Roblox does not need a phone number to create an account. It uses one later, as a way to sign in, recover a lost password and confirm who owns the account. Many Roblox players are children, so this page is for adults: a parent setting up a separate account to link to a child's, a developer who needs extra accounts to test a multiplayer game, or a creator keeping a studio account apart from a personal one.

Adding a number to a Roblox account sends a code by SMS. Once confirmed, the number can be used to log in and reset the password, which is why the account should also have an email and two-step verification set before a rented number returns to the pool.

Parents and linked accounts

Roblox lets a parent link their own account to a child's account and manage spending limits, chat settings and screen time from it. The parent's account has to show that an adult controls it, and Roblox uses checks such as a government ID or a payment card for that, not a phone number alone. A parental PIN on the child's account also stops the settings being changed from the child's side.

Some parents keep the Roblox parent account separate from their main email and phone, so that a child who knows the family's usual login cannot change the settings. A rented number can confirm that separate account. Keep the password and recovery email somewhere the child cannot reach.

Developers testing multiplayer games

Roblox Studio can simulate several players on one machine for local testing. Testing on the live platform, with real accounts joining a published place from different devices, sometimes needs more than one account. Each test account is easier to keep track of when it has its own confirmed contact details.

Roblox restricts alternate accounts used to get around bans, to trade items between accounts for profit, or to inflate a game's visit counts. Test accounts should do testing and nothing else. Our acceptable use policy says the same.

Protecting the account after the code

Roblox supports two-step verification by email, by authenticator app and by security key. Turn on the authenticator app option in security settings, keep the backup codes, and add an email you control. The account then does not depend on the number at all.

If you later remove the phone number, Roblox will stop offering phone login and phone recovery for that account. That is fine once email and an authenticator are in place. Prices for a Roblox activation by country are on the pricing page.

How to verify Roblox without your own number

  1. Pick Roblox and a country

Choose Roblox in the app, then any country with live stock. Prices are shown before you commit.

  2. Use the number we allocate

Paste the number into the Roblox sign-up form and request the code.

  3. Read the code in your dashboard

The SMS appears the moment it arrives, usually well under a minute. If nothing lands, the charge reverses automatically.

Does Roblox require a phone number to sign up?

No. A phone number is optional and is used for login, recovery and account ownership checks once added.

Is this suitable for a child's account?

This is for adults. Parents can use a rented number on their own separate parent account, then link it to the child's account with Roblox's parental controls.

How should I protect the account afterwards?

Turn on two-step verification with an authenticator app, save the backup codes and add an email you control.

What if the code never arrives?

The activation cancels when its window ends and the full price returns to your balance.
