Greece · +30 A real Greece number. Rented for one code.

Every Greek mobile number starts with 69 and has ten digits, with no leading zero to add or remove. From abroad the same number gains +30 in front. Greek shops, messaging accounts and ticket sites confirm new users by SMS to a 69 number, and a rented one receives that code without a Greek SIM.

Cosmote, Vodafone and Nova run the Greek mobile networks. Nova took over Wind Hellas, and older sign-up guides still use the Wind name. Numbers from any of the three read as Greek mobile when a service checks them.

A 69 number, written three ways

A Greek mobile number looks like 694 123 4567. Internationally it is +30 694 123 4567, and some forms accept 0030 in place of +30. All three reach the same phone. Forms with a +30 picker want the ten digits and nothing else.

Greek landlines start with 2, such as 210 for Athens and 2310 for Thessaloniki. Services do not text them, so a Greek number that does not start 69 will not receive a code.

Shopping abroad, tickets and messaging

Greece has no Amazon store of its own, so Greek shoppers use Amazon.de, Amazon.it and other European stores. A rented Greek number lets a second Amazon account, for a small business say, stay apart from a personal one.

Concert and festival ticket accounts, including Ticketmaster, ask for a phone number too, and ticket limits apply per person whatever the number of accounts. Telegram and WhatsApp accounts meant for Greek customers or communities register on a local number, which is what Greek contacts expect to see.

Visitors, delivery apps and the window

Visitors to Greece often want local apps working before they buy a SIM. Efood is the main Greek food delivery app and signs users up with a phone number.

The rented number is yours for the activation window. Put recovery on an email before it ends. If no code arrives, the activation cancels and the full price returns to your balance.
