MarioSMS

Turkey · +90 A real Turkey number. Rented for one code.

Receive an SMS verification on a genuine Turkey number (+90) without a local SIM.

Turkish mobile numbers are ten digits starting with 5, written 0532 123 45 67 at home and +90 532 123 45 67 from abroad. Turkish apps for groceries, food and shopping sign customers in with that number. A Turkish SIM is sold only against a passport or national ID, so a rented Turkish number is the quicker route to one confirmation code.

Three networks carry Turkish mobiles, Turkcell, Vodafone Türkiye and Türk Telekom. The numbers rented here come from those real ranges, so a Turkish service looking one up sees a local mobile and sends the code.

Reading a +90 number

Inside Turkey the number starts with a 0, then a three-digit operator code beginning with 5, then seven digits, usually grouped as 0532 123 45 67. From abroad the 0 is dropped. Landlines start with area codes such as 212 and 216, for the European and Asian sides of Istanbul, and do not receive verification texts.

Operator codes in the 530s began on Turkcell and those in the 540s on Vodafone, with Türk Telekom in the 500s and 550s. People keep their number when they switch networks, so the code shows only where a number started.

Turkish apps that ask for a local mobile

Getir signs customers in with a code sent to a Turkish mobile, and Trendyol and Yemeksepeti ask for one as well. Businesses check how their listings look to Turkish customers on these apps, and people moving to Turkey set up accounts before their own line is active.

Telegram and WhatsApp accounts on +90 numbers suit businesses whose Turkish customers expect to message a local number. Both register by SMS and keep working on the device after the rented number returns to the pool.

Why visitors struggle with Turkish SIMs

Turkey registers handsets as well as SIMs. A phone bought abroad and used with a Turkish SIM has to be registered with the regulator, BTK, for a fee, or Turkish networks cut it off after a limited period. For someone who needs a local number for a few codes, that is a lot of paperwork.

A rented number receives codes online, with no handset or SIM involved. Turkish banks and payment apps run their own identity checks, which a number does not replace, so keep a rented number to shopping, delivery and messaging accounts.
