MarioSMS

Hungary · +36 A real Hungary number. Rented for one code.

Receive an SMS verification on a genuine Hungary number (+36) without a local SIM.

Hungarian numbers use 06 as the domestic prefix where most countries use 0. A mobile number written 06 30 123 4567 at home becomes +36 30 123 4567 from abroad, and forms built for a single 0 often reject it. A rented Hungarian mobile gets through that form for one confirmation code.

Three networks carry Hungarian mobiles: Magyar Telekom, Yettel, which was Telenor until 2022, and One, which was Vodafone until 2023. Older guides still use the former names, but the number ranges stayed the same.

Rented Hungarian +36 mobile number receiving an SMS code

Reading the 20, 30, 50 and 70 codes

Hungarian mobile numbers use a two-digit network code of 20, 30, 31, 50 or 70, followed by seven digits. The code once showed the network, with 30 for Telekom, 20 for Yettel and 70 for One. People move numbers between networks, so it now shows only where a number started.

Budapest landlines start with 1, written 06 1 at home, and other towns use two-digit area codes. Services do not text landlines, so a number outside the mobile codes will not receive a code.

Delivery, classifieds and local accounts

Budapest has both Wolt and Foodora for food delivery, and both confirm Hungarian accounts by SMS. Classifieds and secondhand sites often tie listings to a phone number as well.

Hungarians abroad use a +36 number to keep a local account going, and businesses selling in Hungary put customer messaging on a local number. Developers test Hungarian-language sign-up flows, where the SMS text often changes with the number's country.

What the number does not cover

Hungarian banks and government services identify people with ID documents, and a phone number does not replace that. A rented number is for apps and marketplaces only.

Add a recovery email to any account you create before the window ends. If the code does not come, the activation refunds, and prices for each service are on the pricing page.

Do I drop the 06 after +36?

Yes. 06 30 123 4567 becomes +36 30 123 4567. The 06 is used only for dialling inside Hungary.

Why do old guides mention Telenor and Vodafone?

Telenor Hungary became Yettel in 2022 and Vodafone Hungary became One in 2023. The number ranges did not change.

Which Hungarian numbers are mobile?

Those with the network codes 20, 30, 31, 50 or 70. Others are landlines or special numbers and usually cannot receive codes.

What if no code arrives?

The activation cancels at the end of the window and the full price returns to your balance.
